IT System Engineer
Responsibilities

Support and coordinate all activities Private & Public cloud platforms.

  • Coordination of all activities related to Windows and Linux/Unix systems administration.
  • Provide Support on Microservices/Docker platforms such Tanzu, OKD, …
  • Leading all changes/configurations and improvement required on servers.
  • Design good architecture for servers ensuring business continuity.
  • Capacity Planning for servers’ resources
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request during user review activities.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Ensure each of the system is properly secured with hardening and security tool available.
  • Working with tools surrounding the Kubernetes ecosystem such ansible, kubeadm, Sysdig
  • Proficient to expert scripting and automation skills converting manual and maintenance functions into fully orchestration automation.
  • Infrastructure operations and production support of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Docker/Kubernetes deployment, configuration, scaling and management of containerized applications
  • Advise for any hardware/system improvement for systems availability.
  • Generating various reports for system monitoring, security, and administration
  • Actively participate in new system deployment for new technologies on the market
  • He serves as a contact person to various Platform vendors.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer science/Engineering or Information System.

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure/Servers administration
  • Sound experience on Windows & Linux Administration and VMware
  • Working experience with Kubernetes, Dockers, Cloud, …
