Position title
OSS/ENM Engineer
Responsibilities
  • Architected Integration and Automation of Alarms and Trouble Tickets for all Type of Multivendor EMS-Radio access Network, Transmission, Core nodes.
  • Managing System Administration Function, involving the configuration, Up gradation & Patching of NMS Servers
  • Ensure detailed health check of various OSS Nodes, customized Scripts for alarms dump; Email and Auto reports delivery. Security Management: Users access rights management, Customized Roles, access control for Network Elements and LDAP policies for user’s login. Backup Administration for OSS and its peripheral servers.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of OSS nodes.
  • Migration of Network Element between different ENM; FCAPS functionality and Hardware and Software Acceptance testing as per Ericsson’s Standard Acceptance Testing Document.
  • To handle emergencies independently and take important decisions in restoration.
  • Prepare MOP of various activities and configurations in the network.
  • To provide RCA of issues and complaints.
  • To ensure process compliance of OSS nodes for smooth functioning of Network.
  • Reviewing and performing AT of newly installed nodes and integration in live network.
  • To understand and change configurations and parameters to optimize network performance.
  • To contribute in the creation and improvements to procedures and routines within the department / group.

 

Qualifications
  • A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Telecom or IT industry.2 years of which must have   been in business operations and support field.
Skills
  • Good knowledge of telecom architecture and various traffic cases.
  • Good knowledge of OSS interoperability with various nodes. Experience in Ericsson ENM, OSSRC, NetAct, M2000/U2000, U2020, PRIME, ZTE, SAM.
  • Having exposure to Solaris and Linux platform, Shell Scripting, VM ware.
  • Backup/Restoration procedures
  • Solaris/RHEL system administration.
